Las Vegas Weekly have put up their review of 48 Hours Festival including Avenged Sevenfold’s set in Las Vegas, NV.
Losing count after a few hundred, one could easily tell that Avenged Sevenfold fans were on the grounds based on the band’s T-shirts worn by many. Once the guys took stage, the pitch black festival grounds were only lit by the stage lights and adjacent Strip attractions as fans used glow sticks, smart phones and lighters to show love to the night’s main attraction.
Avenged Sevenfold cranked up the crowd with heavy guitar shreds and record-high screams from the audience while playing hits like “Nightmare” and “Welcome to the Family.” Seeing enthused fans singing independently and almost violently among themselves represented the kind of passion the metalcore band has sparked within their crowd. Women placed upon the shoulders of their male counterparts were plentiful as the guys performed “Afterlife” and “Almost Easy” to the crowd, topping off an exhausting day of rock, which wasn’t over by a long shot.
