InsideSTL Uproar Review, "[Avenged Sevenfold] Know How To Work A Crowd.."

InsideSTL have put up a review of Avenged Sevenfold’s set in St Louis, MO on the Rockstar Uproar tour.

After the stage had been blacked out during change over, it was time for headliners Avenged Sevenfold. They exploded out of the gate with ‘Nightmare’ and did not take their foot off the gas for an hour straight. These guys know how to work a crowd and front man M. SHadows most certainly did that. Backed by a GIANT flaming version of their logo and surrounded by skulls in every direction, the band took the crowd under their control for a 12 song set that never really lost energy. There was plenty to keep your attention and enough pyro and explosions to make Poison happy.  The most memorable moment of the A7X set for me was a stirring tribute to former A7X drummer ‘The Rev’ who passed away last year. Shadows said “we are sending this one up to our brother The Rev” and then stomped all over a slamming version of ‘Afterlife’. Other set highlights included ‘ Beast and the Harlot’ and ‘ Bat Country’ and the encore closer of ‘ Unholy Confessions’.  With that, the boys called it a night and the legion of A7X fans sent them off to thunderous applause.
