IndyConcerts.com have put up their review of Avenged Sevenfold’s set on the “Nightmare After Christmas” tour in Evansville, IN. You can read the entire thing here.
Let me say this again – This band was just awesome. There was nothing more that I couldn’t have imagined being better about the show. They were interactive – including a fist bump from front man M. Shadows to my fiancée, they were on key, they were top notch and just a phenomenal show. I honestly couldn’t have been more excited and more thrilled to see a band live than this one. I’ve heard rumors about the amazingness of their shows, and on that night – They proved they’re one of the hardest working bands in the business.
I know the fans implored them to come out and do one more tour. They went out and found a new drummer to finish touring this year with, and I have to implore the A7X family – Keep them alive! The world needs more amazing shows like the one the folks in Evansville saw Sunday night. They need more amazing albums just like the ones they’ve released over the last decade – and by god, everyone needs a little bit of a twisted sense of humor and wonderment to lyrics and songs.
If they do happen to part ways after The Nightmare After Christmas Tour, at least I saw them one final time. And to tell you the truth – I encourage each and every one of you to do the same. Make the trek somewhere and watch them. They’re totally worth the drive, worth the money, and worth the experience. It’s going to be a memory that lasts with me forever!
