The concert started with an eerie cover of “The Sound of Silence” by Simon & Garfunkel before the band marched on the stage and launched the first single “Nightmare” from the same-titled album. A frosty Monday evening roared to life with a little help of the flaming pyros and impressive stage structures including shadowed gates and sinister archways, which were giving off an image of a graveyard completed with changing backdrops and the notorious 3 ‘ego risers’, the raised ledges at the front of the stage, as the band claimed the arena and its crowd in seconds.
