VG.NO, Norway’s biggest newspaper, have released their Top 10 International Albums Of The Year and Avenged Sevenfold take their spot at #8. Here’s what the article had to say about the band:
The Huntington Beach band has taken the classic balance between commerciality and independence – between the soft and the hard compromises – on “Nightmare.” The album carries an atmospheric touch of drummer James “The Rev” Sullivan’s drug-related death last year, but the drumsticks are well taken care of by former Dream Theater’s Mike Portnoy. And in frontman M. Shadows, the new American metal perhaps has it’s best vocalist. They gave a concert in Oslo in November, which was moved from Sentrum Scene to Oslo Spektrum because of the demand.
