Avenged Sevenfold In Buffalo, "The Show They Put On Literally Blew Me Away, It Was Unreal."

A review of the Rockstar Uproar Buffalo, NY tour stop has been posted over at the Tunelab forums. You can read what was said about Avenged Sevenfold below:

Avenged Sevenfold was next to perform, and the show they put on literally blew me away, it was unreal. I had seen them perform the same setlist about three weeks ago, but this time with the added stage effects and what seemed like increased energy level made for a whole new experience. Showmen as they are, the entrance was incredible: dropping from the rafters was a life-size dummy hung by a noose swinging above the stage as it was slowly covered with dense fog, followed by pulsing flames as the band made their way onstage. Epic in every way. The set in its entirety was fantastic, considering the blend of music with stage effects.

Highlights included M. Shadow’s vocals (dude can scream), and the musicianship – in my opinion – is hard to beat by the remaining band members: Synyster’s guitarwork is ungodly, and the pairing with Zacky V is awesome, not to mention the legendary Mike Portnoy on drum duties.

Overall, it was a great experience, and a great day of music. I’d rate the top four performances as:

Avenged Sevenfold
Disturbed
Stone Sour
Hellyeah
