DALLAS (October 27, 2010) -HDNet Concert Series presents another installment in the fan favorite “Heavy Metal Halloween” celebration with the debut of “Avenged Sevenfold Live in the LBC & Diamonds in the Rough” this Sunday, October 31 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The concert, which was shot in 2008, is the band’s April 10th hometown show at the Long Beach Arena. Avenged Sevenfold, headlining the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour, was on the road in support of their self-produced, self-titled album, which topped the Billboard Alternative, Hard, and Rock charts one week after its release in October 2007.
Known for the metalcore sound on their first album, Avenged Sevenfold’s style has evolved since the band was formed in 1999. To date, they have released five studio albums, including 2005’s breakout City of Evil, fifteen singles, and one live album/compilation/DVD. The band’s current album, Nightmare, bowed at No. 1 on Billboard’s album chart and also topped the Rock, Hard Rock, and Digital charts. Nightmare’s No. 1 debut is the band’s highest first-week chart position ever. The title track climbed to No. 1 on the Active Rock chart and is currently the most played song at Media Base Active rock for 2010.
Avenged Sevenfold hails from Huntington Beach, California, and consists of vocalist M. Shadows, lead guitarist Synyster Gates, rhythm guitarist Zacky Vengeance, and bassist Johnny Christ.
HDNet’ s Heavy Metal Halloween line-up also features “Korn Live – The Encounter,” “Judas Priest Live: British Steel 30th Anniversary Special,” and “Megadeth Blood in the Water: Live in San Diego.”
