In his newest book “Hello, It’s Me: Dispatches From A Pop Culture Junk” our friend Chris Epting talks about many things from the past 40 years starting from 1970 to present day. It all ranges from music, movies, television, fads that all defined the recent generation. It also hits close to home for us all when the longest essay in the book is entitled “The Rev” which is personally dedicated to Avenged Sevenfold fans. We asked Chris what the essay encompasses and this is what he had to say:
“The Rev” is the only essay in the book containing such an acknowledgment. I take the articles I wrote, some new photos, and weave a narrative about how the fans I heard from, you (Deathbat News) included, opened my eyes to this amazing community and how vital it is–and how much I learned from all of you.
Now you guys have a chance to win a signed copy of the book! All you have to do is head on over here where Chris talks about the first concert he ever went to, The Rolling Stones. He’s interested in hearing about some of your memories of Avenged Sevenfold shows and if it’s good enough you might win!
