Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012, PC/PS/XBOX)
Avenged Svenfold are massive gaming fans, and had already contributed a song to the first Black Ops game (Not Ready To Die) when Black Ops II came out in 2012. In a move that nobody really saw coming, though, Black Ops II ends with M. Shadows and Synyster Gates bullying two characters from the game into swapping their guns for instruments and jamming with Avenged, playing specially-written tune Carry On. “People who see us and don’t know Avenged Sevenfold are gonna think we’re a bunch of dicks!” laughed Shadows. Still, the band enjoyed it so much they teamed up with COD for Black Ops III three years later, penning the instrumental number Jade Helm for the game’s multiplayer mode.
